Sao Paulo, Brazil, 20 March – China’s Chery Automobile is considering where to locate its factory in Brazil out of four possibilities – Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais and Ceará, according to news agency Brasil.
The agency said that the information was made public Tuesday as part of a visit by the Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Sila to China.
Chery Automobile, a state company based in Wuhu, in China’s Anhui province, aims to produce 150,000 cars per year in its Brazilian factory, the agency reported.
The Brazilian President’s trip to China aimed to boost the bilateral strategic partnership and focused on three sectors: Trade, scientific cooperation and coordination on international issues. (macauhub)
