Chinese company CCM involved in real estate projects in Mozambique

Matola, Mozambique, 1 July – Chinese company CCM Construções is one of the promoters of a new housing and retail complex in Matola, an industrial city on the outskirts of the Mozambican capital, Maputo.

The complex, known as Matola Kings Village, will include construction of 160 four-bedroom apartments each with an area of 164 square metres, a four-star hotel with 56 rooms, 23 offices, restaurants and a conference room, as well as sports fields, swimming pools and car parks.

This project also involves Mozambican investors via the Companhia de Desenvolvimento de Matola (Codema) consortium, although the investment outlined for the project has yet to be announced.

CCM Construções Lda. is very active in Mozambique’s construction sector, particularly in the water sector, building construction and refurbishment of infrastructure.

CCM Construção is involved in the project to refurbish and extend the water supply system in Manica, it is responsible for construction of the new Attorney General’s Office buildings and the Central Office for Fighting Corruption.

It is also responsible for construction, in the high class part of Maputo, of an office building belonging to Jossefate Moisés Machel, brother of the late Samora Machel, the first president of Mozambique. (macauhub)
