Baía Farta, Angola, 10 July – A product quality testing laboratory is due in the next few days to be set up in Benguela province, to test imported products, Angola’s Trade Minister, Maria Idalina Valente said Tuesday.
The minister made this announcement on a three-day visit to Benguela province, as part of a programme to publish and coordinate activities for execution of the programme for promotion of rural trade.
According to Valente, the laboratory will also serve to certify the quality of products to be exported and will be set up in Benguela because the province is located at a strategic point in the country due to its port.
She said that the institution was working on restructuring some regulations for trade activities in Angola, as well as to propose that the Trade Ministry should coordinate the national customs commission, for greater quality control of products. (macauhub)
