Angolan government approves plan for development of agricultural sector

Luanda, Angola, 16 July – The Angolan government Wednesday in Angola approved a portfolio of projects of great economic and social impact, to be carried out by 2012, with a view to promoting the sustainable development of the agricultural sector, Angolan news agency Angop reported.

With this plan the Angolan government plans to create more jobs, a way of ensuring food safety, internal supply and make use of opportunities in the local, regional and international markets.

The statement from the Council of Ministers Meeting showed that the “estimated cost of the portfolio of projects is of US$1.203 billion, which will be funded by a credit line from the China Development Bank, private investment and other available lines.” (macauhub)
