British companies to build car factory in Angola

Luanda, Angola, 16 July – The CSG car factory being built in the municipality of Viana, in Angola’s Luanda province, will manufacture vehicles of all kinds as well as accessories and will sell and lease vehicles, under the terms of the investment project approved by the Angolan government.

The private investment project, approved Wednesday by the Council of Ministers, also aims to set up sales points both nationally and internationally, as well as provide assistance and adapt cars, based on customer needs.

The overall value of the investment is US$30 million and the project will have the capacity to manufacture 10,000 cars of various models each year.

The plan is promoted by British companies Pearkbright International, with 5 percent of total capital, and Powerquest International with 95 percent. (macauhub)
