Chinese company wants greater area for wood exploration in Inhambane, Mozambique

Inhambane, Mozambique, 21 July – Chines company Oriental Overseas Mozambique may be granted a concession for forestry exploration in the Mozambican coastal province of Inhambane, Macauhub has learned from the provincial directorate for forests and wildlife.

Oriental Overseas is owned by two Chinese businesspeople and was set up in April 2008.

The company mainly operates in the forest resources sector, wholesale trade and fishing and mining activities.

China is involved in various areas of social and economic interest in Mozambique, particularly the logging sector. (macauhub)
