Luanda, Angola, 27 July – The volume of exports from Argentina to Angola in 2008 reached the value of US$212 million, said Ricardo Victor Roggero, head of business for the Argentine embassy, on Sunday in Luanda.
In statements to Angop, at the end of a visit to Angola by an Argentine business delegation from the poultry industry, the Argentine diplomat said that these figures exceeded those for 2006 (US$138.35 million) and 2007 (US$165.86 million).
Argentina annually exports to Angola food products and materials for the petroleum industry.
In the agriculture sector, he added, there was the possibility of Angola and Argentina establishing a common agricultural industrial area, which would produce cereals such as soya, corn and wheat.
According to the diplomat, there are also possibilities for partnerships in other areas such as transport, health, commerce and tourism. (macauhub)
