Brasilia, Brazil, 27 July – A delegation of 15 Brazilian businesspeople from the state of Espírito Santo have travelled to Maputo to take part in FACIM – Mozambique’s Trade and Industry Fair, which will take place from 31 August to 6 September.
The commercial delegation was organized by the Mozambican Consulate in Espírito Santo and by the CCBMES – the Brazil-Mozambique Chamber of Commerce.
The following companies will be represented in this delegation: Multipla Export, Marbrasa, Imetame Granitos, Mameri Rochas, Jaciguá Granitos, Milanez & Milanese, Acimpex and Móveis Rimo, some of which will exhibit their products at the Fair.
The Mozambican consul in Espírito Santo, Adilson Neves, said that “Mozambique represented a great business opportunity, because of its accelerated growth of around 8 percent per year, its 21 million consumers and little internal competition.
In 2008 FACIM, with an exhibition area of 15,000 square metres, had around 1,200 stands and 48,000 visitors.
Deals closed during the fair totalled around US$8 million, with an estimated US$23 million worth of deals closed after the fair. (macauhub)
