Angola signs contract with British companies to build car production unit

Luanda, Angola, 29 July – the Angolan government signed a contract today in Luanda with British companies Peakbright and Powerquest International Ltd for the construction of a car production unit in a US$30 million investment, according to Angop news agency.

The contract, signed by the National Private Investment Agency (ANIP) on behalf of the Angolan government, includes car production/sales and parts production as well as the creation of sales stands nationally and internationally.

The project, which was approved in the middle of this month by the Council of Ministers, will create 680 jobs. (macauhub)
