Investment agency defines strategy for international promotion of Cape Verde

Praia, Cape Verde, 4 Aug – The Director of the Cape Verde Investment Agency has said that for Cape Verde to attract investment, a clear promotion strategy was needed, particularly at fairs.

“This means we have to be proactive, in terms of going out and finding the investors Cape Verde wants and needs, whether they are companies, sectors or countries. Up until now we have been passive in waiting for the investor to come to us, whereas we should be going out and finding the investor. Even the investors themselves complain about the lack of promotion,” said Carlos Rocha.

To promote Cape Verde as a tourist destination, the Cape Verde Investment Agency is to study the market it wants to reach and, together with the State Tourist Office, develop a tourism product.

“We must also change the passive way we receive tourists and become more active in promoting Cape Verde,” said the director of the Cape Verde Investment Agency. (macauhub)
