Brazil to support Mozambique in creation of National Archive System

Maputo, Mozambique, 5 Aug – Mozambique’s civil service ministry and the Brazilian Cooperation Agency today signed a memorandum of understanding to establish the National State Archive System (SNAE), according to Maputo’s Notícias newspaper.

The aim of the memorandum is to contribute towards the efficient production, administration, preservation and storage of documents, share knowledge in the area of archives and documentation and thus improve the performance of employees in this sector in carrying out their work.

The newspaper added that the SNAE would be introduced in all State institutions and that employees would receive training in the destruction of documents which no longer had administrative, fiscal, legal or research significance. (macauhub)
