Banco Nacional de Angola sets up credit risk centre

Luanda, Angola, 17 Aug – The Angolan central bank, Banco Nacional de Angola (BNA) is setting up a credit risk information centre according to the deputy governor of the BCA, Ricardo D’Abreu, cited by state newspaper Jornal de Angola.

As well as this, the BNA continues with its efforts to conclude the programme set out for the current year which includes the Law of Financial Institutions, which is in its concluding stages, and the creation of mechanisms to boost the banking system.

The programme also includes speeding up the inclusion of state workers’ salaries in the banking system, the introduction of bank deposit insurance and setting up a foreign debt database.

D’Abreu pledged that the BNA would continue working to create partnerships for the national financial system. (macauhub)
