Foreign group to build tourist resort in Inhambane, Mozambique

Maputo, Mozambique, 19 Aug – A foreign group plans to invest US$350 million in building a tourism complex in Mozambique, Mozambican newspaper Notícias reported Tuesday.

The new tourism complex will be set up in the Macunha area, on the Vilanculos coast, in Inhambane province.

According to provincial governor Itae Meque, who visited the area where the project will be set up, 350 beach houses will be built alongside a five star tourist resort.

The foreign-owned project, will create 1,000 jobs in its construction phase and 500 jobs in its operating phase and will cover an area of 35 hectares. (macauhub)
