Angolan government approves Luso-Angolan project for cement and clinker factory

Luanda, Angola, 27 Aug – The private investment project, called “SLN – Benguela cement and clinker factory,” approved Wednesday in Luanda by the Angolan government, has a global value of US$240 million, according to Angolan news agency Angop.

The project’s promoters are Portuguese company Sociedade Lusa de Negócios (SLN) – Internacional, Tecnoimóvel Limitada (an Angolan company) and Caixa de Segurança Social das Forças Armadas Angolanas, according to a statement from the meeting of the Government’s collective body.

Located in the town of Benguela, the project should be completed within five years and a training programme and the creation of 240 jobs, 210 of which will be for Angolans, are planned. (macauhub)
