Angola’s Taag to increase weekly flights to China

4 September 2009

Beijing, China, 4 Sept – Angolan national air carrier Taag plans to increase its flights to China from two to three per week in order to meet current demand, said the company’s representative in Beijing, António Inácio Silva.

In an interview given to Angolan news agency Angop Inácio noted that the rise in demand for the airline’s services by Angolan and other citizens meant that the two weekly flights were not enough.

“Traffic is expected to increase based on the contracts that have been signed between the Angolan and Chinese governments and the rise in business contacts between businesspeople from both countries,” he said.

With combined flights between China and Dubai (two simultaneous flights) the starts of Taag’s flights to China in December of last year has also made it possible to cover the Korean, Japanese, Hong Kong and Macau markets. (macauhub)
