Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 15 Sept – The Brazilian government has launched a campaign to attract small and medium-sized international investors to the tourism and hotel sector the director for Investment Promotion of the Tourism Ministry, Hermano Gonçalves de Souza Carvalho said Monday.
“We cannot just focus on large conglomerates. We are showing small and medium-sized investors what can be done in Brazil,” said Carvalho at the opening of the 2nd South American Conference on Investments in Hotels and Tourism.
As part of its campaign Brazil plans to send a business mission to Portugal next week to promote the advantages of the country and find investors for the sector.
Carvalho said that the ministry would also boost its campaign to attract international investors at the Jata World Tourism fair, the biggest Asian fair for the sector, which will take place in Japan this week, and will be attended by Tourism Minister, Luiz Barreto. (macauhub)
