Shenzhen officials in Sao Paulo to publicise port’s development plan

Sao Paulo, Brazil, 6 Oct – Members of the government of the special economic area, port sector businesspeople and representatives of the port of Shenzhen are due to travel to Sao Paulo next week to take part in a meeting organised by the Brazil-China Economic Development Chamber (CBCDE).

The mission will be headed by Zhang Siping, the deputy mayor of Shenzhen, Zhang JIanbi, the director general of the marine safety board, customs authorities, as well as terminal management sector businesspeople, specifically the chairman of the Yantian group, Zheng Hongije.

The meeting, which is due to take place on 13 October in Sao Paulo and will be attended by Brazilian officials and businesspeople, will see Shenzhen’s officials present the new growth and modernisation plan for the port, the fourth largest in the world by cargo handled and the second-largest in China.
