EU, Italy and State Budget finance water supply in Inhambane province, Mozambique

Maputo, Mozambique, 23 Oct – The Mozambican Ministry of Public Works and Housing plans to hire two consultants as part of the project to supply water to five towns in Inhambane province, a ministry source told Macauhub.

The same source said that the project had benefitted from funding from the European Union (EU), Italy and the State Budget and added that the companies hired would provide technical support, via studies and surveys of work to be carried out to ensure the sustainability of small water supply systems.

The ministry source, who gave no details of the amount of funding, said that with this project the aim was to secure a water supply for over 50,000 people living in the towns of Jangamo, Inharrime, Homoíne, Panda and Morrumbene. (macauhub)
