Angola’s trade with Czech Republic estimated at over a million Euros per year

Luanda, Angola, 3 Nov – The value of trade between Angola and the Czech Republic is estimated at over one million Euros per year, the Czech ambassador in Angola Vladimír Války has said.

In statements to Angolan news agency Angop, the ambassador said that most of this figure was the result of investment by his country’s government in cooperation with Angola for developing the agriculture and education sectors.

These investments, he said, were centred on Bié province because it was one of the regions that had suffered the most during the civil war.

According to the ambassador, several professional training centres had been set up in the province, where lessons were given on learning to fish, breed birds, self-sufficiency and setting up a small business.

Vladimír Války also said that in the town of Kuito the Czech government was behind the creation of an agricultural school that “could contribute to the country’s growth.”

The ambassador added that he had invited Czech businesspeople to invest in Angola in the area of industry, a highly developed area in his own country. (macauhub)
