Sao Tome, Sao Tome and Principe, 18 Nov – Sao Tome and Principe and Angola are due Wednesday to sign several cooperation agreements for the 2009/2011 period, including to open up a credit line, professional training and construction of two hundred social houses.
The meeting between the mixed commissions of both countries has been underway in the Sao tome capital since Monday and is due to end Wednesday with the signing of cooperation agreements, a source from the Sao Tome delegation told Portuguese news agency Lusa.
According to the same source, amongst the deals to be signed, are the construction of two professional training centres and over 200 social houses, refurbishment and equipping of certain infrastructures and opening up a credit line to support Angolan and Sao Tome investments.
The source added that Sao Tome and Principe had already moved ahead with a proposal to extend the period of a general cooperation agreement from two to three years.
Infrastructures, fishing, agriculture, oil, tourism, education, defence, public works, internal administration, trade, justice, transport, culture, sport, health, the media and finance are areas that may be included in the agreement package signed Wednesday. (macauhub)
