Praia, Cape Verde, 23 Nov – Spanish group Sol Mélia is due to build and manage two new five star hotels on Sal Island, Cape Verde, which will increase the number of available beds on the island by 1,000.

According to the Cape Verdean press, Sol Mélia recently signed a deal with The Resort Group Plc, and the “Melia Tortuga Beach Resort Spa,” which is currently under construction, will be opened in 2011.

The “Melia Dunas Beach Resort” work on which has recently begun, is due to start operating in 2012. (macauhub)
