Luanda, Angola, 29 Dec – By the end of 2010 Angola plans to conclude 12 industrial development hubs in the provinces of Cabinda, Luanda, Bengo, Huila, Benguela, Huambo, Zaire, Uije, Kwanza-Norte and Bie, to house 695 factories in a range of sectors, the Luanda government said.
The information is included in the Executive Programme for Manufacturing Industry which for next year outlines growth of 31.9 percent and creation of 12,127 direct jobs.
By the time the programme is concluded in 2012, it is expected to have created 1,043 industrial companies and 29,500 jobs.
The development hubs that are under construction cover an area equivalent to 522 soccer pitches, and will cost US$397.5 million. (macauhub)
