Angolan airline launches website and call centre for clients

4 January 2010

Luanda, Angola, 4 Jan – TAAG Angola Airlines plans to launch a new website and call centre this month as part of its reorganisation plan, Carlos Vicente of the company’s press office has stated.

As part of TAAG’s reorganisation process, begun more than a year ago after it was put on the European Union’s blacklist, preventing it from overflying European airspace, the company will also continue market research to expand its commercial network.

“To begin the year we’ll have these two novelties plus expansion of our commercial network, continuing market prospecting,” Vicente said last Wednesday in Luanda.

The launch of the website and call centre aims to enable travellers to buy and reserve tickets without having to visit sales points.

After a year in which it was not allowed to overfly European airspace for security reasons, TAAG resumed flights to Lisbon last year after progress on safety was verified. (macauhub)
