Viana, Angola, 8 Jan – The Industrial Development Pole in Viana near Luanda already counts 30 operational factories involved in various kinds of production, the complex’s coordinator has stated.
Although the factories operate in various sectors, most produce construction material, Teresa Pedro told the Angolan news agency Angop on Thursday.
Many companies are working to install factory units at the Viana pole which may open this year, she added.
Regarding the existence of more space to build new factories, Teresa Pedro stressed that the allotted space was already full, but indicated that the central government was working with local authorities to find new areas in other municipalities.
The municipality of Viana has an area of 1,343 square kilometres and counts 1.5 million inhabitants. (macauhub)
