Programme for Promotion of Rural Trade to begin in Huambo, Angola

Huambo, Angola, 19 Jan – Angola’s Trade Minister, Idalina Valente, Monday began a visit to Huambo province to draw up execution strategies with the local government for the 1st phase of the Programme for Promotion of Rural Trade (PPCR).

The programme, which was approved in April 2009 aims for a gradual recovery of all the shops in rural areas, in order to encourage agricultural production and transactions between towns and the countryside in order to create synergies to solve community problems and provide agri-industry with raw food materials.

In Huambo province, the aim is to benefit at least 80,000 families in the first year of the programme’s execution. (macauhub)
