Luanda, Angola, 20 Jan – The test phase of the Viana Power Plant in Angola’s Launda province is due to begin Wednesday, the head of company Electromontagem, Jorge Pereira said Tuesday.

Cited by Angolan news agency Angop, Pereira said that initially work would focus on tests for injecting electricity in the distribution grid of the surrounding areas.

The Viana Power Plant, which began to be assembled in September 2009, has a production capacity of 20 megawatts, and its installation involved Angolan, Portuguese, English and Australian technicians.
