Lisbon, Portugal, 26 Jan – Portuguese publishing group LeYa plans this year to set up an educational publisher in Brazil, after the “success achieved” with LeYa-Brasil, the group’s chief executive, Isaías Gomes Teixeira said Monday in Lisbon.
“The 13 publications placed on the Brazilian market by the group’s general publisher, LeYa-Brasil, had very good acceptance, three of them having gone directly to the top of the sales rankings,” Gomes Teixeira told Portuguese news agency Lusa.
In relation to the educational publisher, the group’s CEO said that a decision would be made shortly, although he declined to give a specific date.
The LeYa group, which groups together 20 Portuguese-language publishers, includes a Mozambican and an Angolan publisher. (macauhub)
