Angola to take part in South Africa’s International Mining Fair

Luanda, Angola, 28 Jan – Angola is due to take part, from 1 to 4 February, in South Africa’s International Mining Fair with a delegation headed by the minister for Geology and Mining, Mankenda Ambroise, Angolan news agency Angop reported.

The event will be a stage for discussing the sustainable development of the mining industry, as well as seminars about trends in mining and access to capital markets.

According to a ministry source, the Angolan minister for Geology and Mining will speak at the event on 3 February about strategic plans for the Angolan mining sector.

As well as the Angolan minister, the Angolan delegation will also include the chairman of diamond company Endiama, Carlos Sumbula, and some directors and heads of companies in the sector.

The South African International Fair, which brings together the world’s main diamond producers and world renowned conference speakers, is to be held in Cape Town at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. (macauhub)
