Luanda, Angola, 8 Feb – Construction of the new bridge in the area of Salinas de Cacuaco in Luanda, Angola, is in its concluding stages with the laying of the final layer of asphalt on the road, Angolan news agency Angop reported Monday.

This phase of the project, which began in January of this year, is being applied to the entire length of the bridge, which is around 30 metres wide and 96 metres long.

The bridge, which is part of the construction of the Boavista/Kifandongo expressway, will have four driving lanes in each direction.

The Boavista/Kifangondo expressway is split into two lots, first starting in Boavista and ending in the town of Cacuaco, near the former salt flats, and starting again at the salt flats and ending at Kifangondo. (macauhub)
