Chinese company plans to invest in Kwanza Sul, Angola

Sumbe, Angola, 10 Feb – The director general of Chinese company Sitaibo International, Xu Yan said Tuesday in Sumbe that conditions were in place to set up agri-industrial projects in two communities of the Angolan province of Kwanza Sul, according to Angolan news agency Angop.

At the end of a prospecting visit, Xu said there was fertile land, an abundance of water from the Keve river and a workforce , amongst other factors, as the conditions needed for setting up juice factories and factories for cassava processing, construction of a mini hydroelectric dam and agricultural production.

“We plan also to invest in producing roof tiles, zinc plates, construction materials and electricity, process potatoes and package chilli peppers, mineral water and other products,” he said.

Xu yan also said that his company would analyse, along with the province’s government, the final details, after which technicians would be sent to the location to launch the project. (macauhub)
