Portuguese government doubles credit line to Mozambique to 400 million euros

Lisbon, Portugal, 3 March – The Portuguese government has decided to double its credit line to Mozambique to total 400 million euros, Portuguese financial daily Jornal de Negócios reported.

The paper added that the decision was one of the measures that Prime Minister José Sócrates would take with him on his official visit to Mozambique.

Wednesday is the first day of the official schedule and the Portuguese and Mozambican governments plan to officially set up a Portuguese-Mozambican investment bank.

The Portuguese prime minister has travelled to Mozambique with a delegation that includes five ministers, five secretaries of state and around 50 businesspeople. (macauhub)
