Kentz Corporation wins contract for Brazilian company Vale’s coal project in Mozambique

London, United Kingdom, 12 March – Engineering group Kentz Corporation has been granted a US$69 million contract for the Moatize coal project, carried out in Mozambique by Brazilian company Vale, the group said in a statement.

The contract, which will be implemented by subsidiary Kentz Engineers & Constructors of Mozambique, stipulates that Kentz will supply the steel structures and mechanical, electrical and instrumental equipment for the coal processing unit.

Vale’s project in Mozambique is one of the world’s biggest coal explorations and is located in Tete province some 1,700 kilometres north of the capital Maputo, and will have a capacity to process 26 million tons of coal per year.

The Kentz Corporation, which works with large companies in the oil and gas, petrochemical and mining sectors, has operated in Sub-Saharan Africa for over 30 years, supplying engineering and construction solutions. (macauhub)
