Agricultural product packaging centre opens in Cape Verde in three or four months

Porto Novo, Cape Verde, 21 April – The centre for inspection and packaging of agricultural products on the Cape Verdean island of Santo Antão, which has been under construction since July 2009, will be inaugurated within the next “three or four months,” said the cape Verdean Minister for the Environment, Rural Development and Marine Resources.

During a visit to the worksite Minister José Maria Veiga said that the centre “will mark a new stage in the life of the agri-livestock sector,” on the island of Santo Antão, according to Cape Verdean news agency Inforpress.

The minister gave assurances that the work would be complete “within a month,” inspectors were already being trained, and that within three or four months the centre would start operating. (macauhub)
