France plans to increase trade with Angola

Lubango, Angola, 21 April – The business attaché to the French embassy in Angola, Christian Mareschal said Tuesday in Lubango that his country planned to increase its trade with Angola, taking into account the opportunities available in both countries.

Cited by Angolan news agency Angop, Mareschal said that there was interest in investing in tourism and agri-livestock, adding that in the past cooperation in the latter sector had been fundamental for the development of the province.

Mareschal is part of a delegation led by France’s ambassador to Angola, Francis Blondet, who is on a road tour of some of Angola’s provinces.

On Monday the delegation visited Namibe, on Tuesday it stopped in Lubango and on Wednesday it travelled to Benguela.

In Angola, France is involved in the education sector – teaching of French and support for training teachers in some higher education institutes. (macauhub)
