Luanda, Angola, 29 April – Angolan company Refriango plans to increase its production of soft drinks this year and start exporting its products to the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries (CPLP), the company’s marketing coordinator said in Luanda Wednesday.
Speaking to Angolan news agency Angop, Eurico Felciano noted that the company would boost production from 600 million litres to 1 billion litres per year and said that Mozambique was one of the countries that had shown interest in importing Refriango’s products.
“As well as that, Refriango plans to expand both its brand and its products also to Europe, where it is already advertised in first division football matches in Portugal,” he said.
The company produces purified water and tonic water, soft drinks, wines and juices, under the brand names of Pura, Welwitschia, Blue, Tutti, Cuia, Red Cola, Flash, American Cola, Speed, Gaivota and Don Cacho.
Refriango is an Angolan company with both Portuguese and Angolan investors. It started operating in 2004 and employs 2,000 workers, 95 percent of whom are Angolan. (macauhub)
