Bissau, Guinea Bissau, 3 May – A group of businesspeople from northern Italy are currently in Guinea Bissau on a prospecting mission for business opportunities in the area of construction, agriculture and energy, the Guinean Economy minister said Saturday.
Helena Embaló met the Italian business mission to explain the conditions and guarantees for carrying out business in the foreign private sector in the country, noting reforms underway in public administration.
Embaló said that the businesspeople, from the Italian regions of Padua and Venice, aimed to move ahead immediately with business initiatives in the area of hospital facilities and later were expected to enter other business area, specifically agriculture and energy.
“They are interested in actively taking part in structural projects that the country plans to launch. They came to discover the reality of the country, the objectives of the government, the conditions offered to investors and business prospects,” Embaló said. (macauhub)
