Praia, Cape Verde, 14 May – Luxembourg has increased its aid to Cape Verde’s Indicative Cooperation Programme (PIC) from 45 million euros to 60 million euros between 2011 and 2015, the coordinator of Luxembourg’s cooperation on the archipelago said Thursday in Praia.
Thierry Lippert said that the new figure, a rise of 33 percent in relation to the 2006/10 PIC, was “a sign” that Luxembourg was sending to Cape Verde’s other partners to continue supporting the archipelago.
The value of this third PIC will be applied, according to what was outlined by the two governments at a partner meeting, to three main areas – professional training, job creation and health/school canteens – also involving several other small projects that have yet to be defined.
The signing of the 2011/15 PIC document is expected to take place at the beginning of July in Praia. (macauhub)
