Brazilian group enters Angola via acquisition in Portugal

Sao Paulo, Brazil, 8 Jun – Brazil’s TotalCom group has entered Angola after purchasing a stake in Bus Consulting, a Portuguese brand management company operating in Portugal and Angola which belongs to the Zenki Group, indicate Brazilian press reports.

With the acquisition the TotalCom group expands its participation and service offering in the Portuguese market, where it is present with the Fischer advertising agency. It also enters the Angolan market with the Fischer+Bus company resulting from Fischer’s association with Bus Consulting.

Bus Consulting has operated in Angola since 2006, in the area of brand management (consulting, planning, brand strategy, brand identity and design). Its clients include Empresa Nacional de Diamantes de Angola (Endiama), Espirito Santo Commerce (Escom), the Portuguese Espirito Santo group, the Gema group (construction, banking and commerce), Angola LNG (natural gas) and Mundial Seguros (insurance).

In Portugal, Fischer and Bus Consulting have also merged operations in a business with start-up invoicing of more than 5 million euros. It offers integrated services to clients such as the beverage multinational Pernod Ricard, Caixa Geral de Depositos (Portugal’s biggest bank), Japan’s Sony company and the Oriflame cosmetics brand.

The Totalcom group is of Brazilian origin and is Latin America’s precursor and leader in integrated communication. It is currently present in Brazil, Argentina and Portugal and has pioneered the development of an integration platform combining various marketing and communication aspects. (macauhub)
