Luanda, Angola, 23 June – The 2nd edition of the Angolan Furniture, Decor and Textiles “Export Home Angola/2010,” is due to begin Thursday in Luanda, with the participation of 80 Angolan and Portuguese exhibitors, the chairman of the Luanda International Fair (FIL) said in Luanda Tuesday.
The fair will have 40 fewer exhibitors than in 2009, will be held in an area of 2,800 square metres and is expected to attract at least 10,000 visitors, from 24 to 27 June.
The chairman of FIL, Matos Cardoso, told Angolan news agency Angop that Export-Home Angola/2010 had reduced in size but increased in quality, as exhibitors were focused on presenting, “more innovative products both for homes and for the Angolan hotel market.”
Saying that the world financial and economic situation was a factor in the reduced number of exhibitors, due to “poor financial health,” of some companies the chairman of FIL said that Export Home was now, “ a real place for establishing partnerships in the furniture, home decor and textile sector, if we analyse the number of deals it has led to amongst sector businesses.”
The event is the result of a cooperation protocol between the Luanda International Fair and AEP/Exponor (International Porto Fair), which publicises and promotes the furniture, home decor and home textiles industry. (macauhub)
