Luanda, Angola, 24 June – The new park to hold international fairs in Angola, which is still in the design stage, will be built in the capital Luanda in an area of 340 hectares, the chairman of the Luanda International Fair (FIL) said Wednesday in Luanda.
Speaking about the prospects of the fairs market in Angola, Matos Cardoso said that the new park would have a total of 6 pavilions covering 10,000 square metres each, as well as additional service facilities.
“I should say that the Government has already evaluated the project for the new fairs exhibition park in Angola, and it will be built, however I cannot yet give a figure for cost of construction or a date when it will start,” Cardoso said.
He said that around the park support facilities would be built, such as three hotels, shopping centres, congress centres and other services.
He also noted that the fairs hosted by FIL, particularly the Luanda International fair, were now a barometer for the Angolan economy, considering the synergies that they create by bringing together investors from different areas in a single place. (macauhub)
