Johannesburg, South Africa, 22 July – South African airline 1Time has announced the start of its flights between Johannesburg and the capital of Mozambique, Maputo for the 12 August.

1Time said that the cost of a return to ticket between Maputo and Johannesburg would cost 1,289 rands, or around 5,929 meticals, including taxes, which is around 50 percent cheaper than the current price of a ticket from Linhas Aéres de Moçambique (LAM) and South African Airways, which have so far exclusively operated the route.

Headquartered in Kempton Park, Johannesburg, South Africa, 1Time is a low cost airline offering domestic and international scheduled flights, and with the scheduled flights to the Mozambican capital it will operate over 1,300 flights per month.

Airline tickets can be bought on 1Time’s website, which in the next few days will have a Portuguese version quoting prices in meticals the airline said. (macauhub)
