Fortaleza, Brazil, 9 Nov – The 3rd Brazil-Portugal Business Mission and Meeting is due to take place in the Portuguese cities of Lisbon and Aveiro from 11 to 17 August, one of the event’s organisers said in Fortaleza.
The meeting, promoted by the Federation of Industries of Ceará State (FIEC) and by the Ceará International Business Centre (CIN-CE), in partnership with the Council of Portuguese Chambers of Commerce in Brazil (CCPCB), the Brazil-Portugal Chambers of Commerce in Ceará(SBP-CE) and Brazil-Angola Chambers of Commerce in Ceará (ABA-CE), plans to bring together businesspeople from the industrial sector and development institutions (governmental or otherwise) of both nationalities.
According to Eduardo Bezerra, of CIN-CE, “boosting Ceará’s economic relations with Portugal has been underway for over 10 years with great success, such that our state is now the second-biggest destination for Portuguese investments – behind the state of Sao Paulo.”
So far meetings have led to signing a Protocol of Intentions with the Industrial Association of the district of Aveiro (AIDA) and a number of business opportunities for the state of Ceará.
As well as taking part in the Aveiro Business Meeting, with due technical supervision (CIN-CE and CBP-CE), the members of the mission will carry out technical and cultural visits and meet potential strategic partners. (macauhub)
