Brazil’s Embraer expects turnover of US$5.25 billion in 2010

Sao Paulo, Brazil, 3 Aug – Brazilian aeronautical group Embraer announced it expects to post turnover of US$5.25 billion this year rather than the previously projected US$5 billion.

In a statement Embraer announced that in the first half of 2010 it posted net turnover of 4.2 billion reals (US$2.4 billion) despite revenues falling from 3.03 billion reals to 2.43 billion reals in the second quarter, against the same period of 2009.

The aeronautical company’s net profit in the second quarter was 101.7 million reals (US$57.5 million), which was higher than the 44 million reals (US$25 million) in the previous quarter.

Between April and June Embraer delivered 69 aircraft, 29 of which were jets and 40 executive aircraft. ( macauhub)
