4 August 2010

Luanda, Angola, 4 Aug – Angolan national air carrier, TAAG, will soon begin operating a route between Luanda and the capital of Mozambique, Maputo, which was halted several years ago, Angolan news agency Angop reported Wednesday citing Luísa Diogo, Mozambique’s former prime minister.

Diogo told Angop that due to Mozambique and Angola’s efforts important decisions had been made in terms of bilateral air links.

Currently, Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM) carries out two flights per week to Angola, which is due to rise to three per week due to increased demand.

According to Angolahub LAM started flying to Luanda in November 2009 using Brazilian Embraer aircraft. (macauhub)
