Angolan capital, Luanda to host tourism fair

Luanda, Angola, 22 Sept – The Luanda provincial director for hotels and tourism, Joaquim Neto, Tuesday in the Angolan capital announced the hosting of the Luanda Tourism Fair, which will exhibit the services of some hotels, restaurants and similar venues.

On announcing the schedule of activities for World Tourism Day, to be commemorated on 27 September, Neto said that it included educational visits to hotels by primary students from several schools across the municipality of Luanda.

The activities announced Tuesday also included talks on the “Tourism potential of Luanda province,” and “Environmental tourism and biodiversity,” in the municipalities of Maianga and Samba.

The activities also include a colloquium on Tourism, an excursion to the Kwanza bar (with a visit to the Slavery Museum) and to the handicraft market.

Neto also said that this week a campaign for planting trees on Samba beach would be carried out as well as for cleaning the beaches around Mussulo pier. (macauhub)
