Luanda, Angola, 18 Oct – The Luanda/Maputo/Luanda route will count one more weekly flight offered by LAM Mozambique Airlines beginning this 3 November, reports the state newspaper Jornal de Angola.
The third flight will be on Wednesdays and give passengers more options for travelling between the two countries to capitalise on existing business and tourism opportunities.
Traffic between Angola and Mozambique is increasing with the LAM flights, which offer a fast connection between the two countries.
The Luanda/Maputo/Luanda route had by September 2010 surpassed all expectations regarding the number of passengers transported on board an LAM Embraer 190 aircraft with capacity for 93 passengers (nine in executive and 84 in economy class).
Mozambique’s ambassador in Angola, Antonio Matonse, recently stated that entry visas will soon be abolished for the two countries in order to stimulate business and tourism. (macauhub)
