Angola’s biggest wholesale centre opens in Luanda

Luanda, Angola, 27 Oct – Mega Cash & Carry, Angola’s biggest wholesale centre, a US$35 million investment by Angolan and Portuguese entrepreneurs, opened its doors on Tuesday in Luanda.

The centre counts a sales area of more than 4,500 square metres where Angolan merchants will have a wide variety of national and international brand products at their disposal to meet market needs.

After the opening ceremony, Mega Cash & Carry director Antonio Santos said that the centre, with majority Angolan capital, represented an investment of US$25 million in infrastructures and US$10 billion in merchandise.

The project aims to expand in the next three years to other Angolan provinces with about 10 new units, Santos said.

The centre offers free parking and a restaurant, coffee shop and bank branch inside, as well as a sale and delivery service using vehicles able to transport frozen and refrigerated products. (macauhub)
