28 October 2010

London, United Kingdom, 28 Oct – The UK’s North River Resources has begun talks with three companies about the possibility of setting up partnerships to operate two mining projects in Mozambique, the company announced in a note released on Monday in London.

North River Resources is quoted in the London Stock Exchange’s alternative investment market and holds operating licences for the Murrupala gold and tantalum project and the Mavuzi gold and uranium project, both in Mozambique.

The company, whose activity is centred on mining operations in southern Africa, informed its shareholders in the note that it aimed to make acquisitions of both assets and companies.

The text adds that in 2011 company officials also envisage significant mining activity in Namibia. (macauhub)
