29 October 2010

Maputo, Mozambique, 29 Oct – A business mission from Mozambique will visit Qatar this coming 7-8 November, a source from the Mozambican Federation of Economic Associations (Cta) told Macauhub in Maputo.

The visit is also organised by the Investment Promotion Centre and the Office for Development of Accelerated Development Zones, together with the Private Sector Support Office. It will include seminars on Mozambique’s investment potential and meetings between entrepreneurs to discuss business partnership opportunities.

The Mozambican entrepreneurs are expected to focus on the preferential sectors of agriculture, tourism, mining, energy and hydrocarbons, science and technology and financial markets during meetings with their Qatari counterparts.

Qatar is involved in the construction of fuel storage areas and an oil pipeline linking the port of Beira in Mozambique’s Sofala province to Malawi.

The Mozambican delegation will be accompanying the official visit to that Arab country by the president of Mozambique. (macauhub)
