Luanda, Angola, 10 Nov – An industrial complex focused on production of foam mattresses, paint, plastic and zinc sheets was inaugurated Tuesday in the Viana municipality of Luanda, Angolan news agency reported.
The facility, known as Complexo Industrial Agência (Agency Industrial Complex), is an investment costing US$9.6 million, which according to its director, Hachem Mohamed, will meet demand for these products.
The mattress factory, an investment of US$5.1 million, has capacity to produce 10,000 mattresses per month and has 47 Angolan workers and two foreign workers.
The paint and plastic factory will produce 150 tons of paint per month, an investment of US$2.25 million, whilst the zinc sheet factory will have estimated production of 600 tons of sheets per month, at an investment of US$2.25 million.
The director of the industrial complex noted that the zinc sheet production unit could cover 50 percent of the Angolan market’s needs. (macauhub)
